Season 08/09 was a very good if not excellent season for Whitehead Eagles under 11s.
The pre season went very well ending with a four team tournament at the Grove playing fields Belfast.
From then on the season got better and better.
After narrowly missing out on reaching the shield final the boys went onto win the Belfast & East Antrim invitational youth league and cup double going undefeated in the league winning all but one match.
In the NIBFA Cup the team reached the last 16 having beaten Glenavon and Foyle Harps along the way.
The season finished with trips to play tournaments in Scotland and Poland.
In AYR the tournament was non competitive with both teams doing well.
In RUDA SLASKA the boys came third out of 24 teams bringing home another trophy.
This was a very good learning experience for the boys not only for the football but also in terms of culture as the boys made lots of new friends.
Good Luck and bring on the new Season.
Ronnie, Andy and Gareth.
